Businesses entering this category must have been trading for more than 2 years. Judges will be looking for evidence of business success and a strong track record of trading including the following:

2. How do you recruit, retain and reward your staff?
3. Community Work but excluding pure ‘advertising’
4. What is your USP?
5. What are the main problems facing your business?
6. How do you win new business and retain existing businesses?
7. Where do you see your business in 5 years time?
8. What active steps do you take to promote Diversity and to encourage the economically inactive back into the workplace?

The category of ‘Small Business of the Year’ is a very large category and incorporates a wide range of companies that have been trading for over 2 years and have less than 25 full time employees, all at varying stages of their business life.
