Entry criteria
Open to businesses with less than 25 employees (or full-time equivalent) that have been trading for more than 2 years at the closing date (4th September 2026).

If successful at first stage, you will be invited to interview covering: your success and track record; how you recruit, retain and reward staff; community work; your USP; main challenges facing the business; how you win and retain business; where you see the business in 5 years; and steps taken to promote diversity and encourage the economically inactive back into the workplace.

This is a wide-ranging category covering businesses at varying stages of their life. Use your entry to tell us why your business should be Small Business of the Year in 2026. Good luck!
