Business Of The Year (Under 25 Employees)

This award is open to businesses with less than 25 employees (or full-time equivalent).

Businesses entering this category must have been trading for more than 2 years at the closing date for entries (Friday 20th September 2024) Judges will be looking for evidence of business success and a strong track record of trading.

If your entry is successful in the first stage application process, you will be invited for an interview. The ‘interview’ will be conducted around and using the following headings:

  1. Your success and track record of the business
  2. Staff engagement
  3. Community Work but excluding pure ‘advertising’
  4. What is your USP?
  5. How do you overcome industry issues?
  6. How do you attract new business?
  7. Where do you see your business in the future?
  8. Diversity

There is then 1 final ‘tiebreaker’ question to each of the candidates:

“In your opinion why do you think you should win this award?”

The category of ‘Business of the Year’ is a very large category and incorporates a wide range of companies that have been trading for over 2 years and have less than 25 full time employees, all at varying stages of their business life.
