Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre
The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (RASASC) is a leading local charity dedicated to supporting individuals across Cheshire and Merseyside who have experienced rape, sexual abuse, or harassment. With over 30 years of expertise as a proud member of Rape Crisis England & Wales, we are committed to providing compassionate, professional, and accessible support to children, men, and women in our communities.
Our centres are strategically located in Crewe, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Knowsley, Halton, Macclesfield, Northwich, St Helens, and Warrington, offer vital services tailored to the diverse needs of our clients.
We provide specialist counselling to those affected by sexual violence, creating a safe and supportive environment for healing and recovery. Our Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) offer dedicated guidance to victims and their families, whether they have reported their experience to the authorities or are considering doing so.
Beyond counselling, we deliver Wellbeing workshops focusing on recovery, social inclusion, and holistic healing. Our Information Line is also available to survivors, and anyone impacted by sexual violence, ensuring access to immediate advice and support.
As part of our commitment to fostering a safer and more informed society, we provide expert training to external organisations on topics such as sexual abuse, harassment, and creating respectful workplaces. Our tailored training programs equip teams with the knowledge and tools to address these sensitive issues effectively, promote awareness, and implement preventative strategies.
At RASASC, our core ethos is to provide free, community-based support that is empathetic, empowering, and responsive to the needs of survivors. We are deeply committed to raising awareness of the prevalence and consequences of sexual violence, challenging societal myths, and fostering positive change.
